Stopped to check my air pressure at a gas station with one of those pay air compressors.
There was a car in front of me and so I waited. When he finished I pulled up and went to work on mine. I've never trusted the gauges on the end of those hoses. Checked my pressure with my Accu-Gage. I needed a few pounds and started to fill the tires. What a surprise when I noticed the hose gauge said there was 50 psi in the tire. Nope when I checked with my gauge it was 40 psi. I came home and pulled out another air pressure gauge I have and it matched the tire pressures of the Accu-Gage I keep in the car.
Everyone using that hose gauge is running at least eight to ten psi under the recommended pressures.
