Please read the following link. I do believe that this invention should be popularized.
http://www.somender-singh.com/

You can read about it, register and follow what others have done with it and their feedback. What we need it mechanics locally who can do this mod. Right now, it appears that it is a kind of niche group working on it.

I suggest the admins of this site to have a link to the above.

I have had this done to two of my cars. My son is driving my '99 Saturn SL2 and is getting 60mpg tanks coupled with hypermiling techniques. Welcome to the site.

This actually works? What kind of gains can be expected, and what would the typical costs be with getting this done?

MPG Man. I am thrilled that you have got this done. My question is where did you get it done? Did you do it yourself? Do you know anyone in the DC metro area who does this?

Ophbalance, I cannot say if it works from personal experience as I have not got it done. However, I do trust that it works, based on what I have read.

On another note, Somender Singh was my motorcycle mechanic when I live in Mysore until 11 years ago. He is a maveric and trust him to come up with this. I only feel sad that it has not become mainstream as I would have liked.

I had this done by a friend named Mike Holler that lives about 40 miles east of Harrisburg, PA.
