Tell us a little about your Civic, auto, manual? When you say you get "about" 35 MPG combined, do you check it every re-fill? So, at 72,000, it is probably broken in, and like a year old German Shepard, ready for some training. Please read the article by Wayne Gerdes on the home page, called "Beating the EPA - The Why’s and how to Hypermile." Ask any questions you might have. You will find that a few Civic drivers are in the high 50s and low 60s (and they get pretty good gas mileage also). No, really, that is their posted lifetime MPGs. Sense a challenge there? The real challenge is to consistenly beat your previous tank, so you are really competing with yourself. Your current MPGs are commendable, way above the average American vehicle, BUT, you wouldn't be here if that satisfied you. So, again, read and contribute. We all want to see you in the 40s and possibly above. atlaw4u 05-30-2008, 01:33 PM Hi and welcome to the forum. You may want to start with this article (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1510) if you haven't already read through it. Also, make sure your tires are aired up to the maximum pressure indicated on the tire’s sidewall. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
