View Full Version : anyone istalled an HHO ?
bigboots5 05-26-2008, 03:31 PM I have a 98 escort wagonand have practiced hypermiling for one week .I have gone from 19 mpg to 38 mpg. however I have a friend who recently installed one on his 84F-350 diesel and is getting 18% better economy. Has anyone else installed one and if so what was your experience
Hi Bigboots:
___18% can come from just now paying attention to his driving habits so I highly doubt they work as expected.
___I received an inquiry with one of these guys and when we get a few kits for review, it will show what we all are interested in hearing. More than likely, it is a sham like most FE increasing kits nowadays. The funny thing is every time I mention we will do a full blown review and the results will go up good or bad, they quickly change their minds never to be heard from again
___Good Luck

LA_Cruiser 06-24-2008, 10:31 PM I will B making regular trips from LA to central Texas (1,200 miles one way) on a regular basis and will B available to 'road test' THIRD party HHO generators besides our own.
I am building a 12 volt system then if everything goes well, migrating 2 a 120 volt and finally 2 a 220 volt generator.
Talk about CLEAN, these things R supposedly GREAT 4 helping eliminate pollution!
God Bless

the_ghost 07-02-2008, 12:18 PM rubbish. Don't get it unless you want to coat your cylinder walls with rust.
Ford Man 10-03-2008, 09:23 PM I have a 98 escort wagonand have practiced hypermiling for one week .I have gone from 19 mpg to 38 mpg. however I have a friend who recently installed one on his 84F-350 diesel and is getting 18% better economy. If you were only getting 19 MPG on a '98 Escort Wagon you wasn't doing anything right. I have a '97 Escort Wagon and I don't think I could drive it hard enough to get 19 MPG. Even driving like most people it will get 30-33.
borestes 01-26-2009, 10:49 PM My friend has a Diesel truck, he go one of the magdrive Hydrogen Generator unit and he is pretty happy with results... got 19% better mileage.. has anyone else had experience with magdrive units?
here isn't the website.
msirach 01-26-2009, 10:53 PM Read the previous posts on this subject. 50% can be gained without spending a dime just by changing your driving habits.
johnmr 02-17-2009, 05:59 PM Yes,
On Ford V-10. I doubled the gas milage from 8.5 to 17.8. That's an empty truck and driving under 70 MPH. Pulling a trailer no improvement in mileage, but alittle more power. Learn as much as you can about these systems. They are all experimental. And you can go from loss of mileage to engine damage. If your not knowledegable about all the parts that go with the HHO generator, find someone that is and have a trusted mechanic install it.
msirach 02-17-2009, 06:04 PM The only thing we have learned about these "so called" systems is that for a substantial amount of money, people save some of what they could have saved by spending $0 and only changing their driving habits.
Hi Johnmr:
___Good thing one of the manufacturers was recently sued out of existence by the federal government for false FE increase advertising.
___Good Luck

kingcommute 02-18-2009, 02:37 PM Interesting that every one of these HHO proponents posting have but 1 or 2 postings to their names. I call BS.
msirach 02-18-2009, 02:47 PM There is a definite pattern!
