Hey,
names Cory. i heard about this hypermiling on CBS, and thought id give it a try.
right now im averaging about 27 miles a gallon on the highway but am making a trip to Fort Worth tomorrow and am going to employ some techniques on the way to see the change.
any advice for me would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You may want to start with this article (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1510) if you haven't already read through it.
Also, make sure your tires are aired up to the maximum pressure indicated on the tire’s sidewall.

Well i got to fort worth. did the math and realized i used only 3.25 gallons on a distance of 129 miles. I got nearly 40 Miles to the gallon!!! With my A/C on!! thats nearly 20 more than i normally get. all i did was set cruise control at 57 and let myself just drift. the trip only took about 30 minuets longer, AND as an added bonus i got to piss alot of people off!

39.69 mpg ain't bad at all. Good work! You may want to watch the rear view mirror for truckers and turn on you hazards so that they can go around easily. Many appreciate it.
