Not only did Toyota Yaris sell a whopping 8,065 units in May 2006, the Chevy Aveo was displaced from its former #1 spot in the subcompact segment to #3 by the Yaris and the surging Kia Spectra, which turned in an impressive 8,474 units sold for a 65.5% monthly increase.
The Honda Fit sold 5,248 vehicles, coming in 4th in the segment, which with the introduction of the 2 new vehicles, plus the incessantly crazy gas prices, grew by 66.8% over the same month last year.
