Hi, I'm new here and enjoying all the fuel economy info.

I have read about the ScanGauge-II. But what does "X-Gauge Group" refer to?

Also, I read somewhere on this forum that the ScanGauge-II will be coming out with a new feature allowing it to be connected to a PC for data analysis.

Anyone know when this is coming out and how much that may cost?

I too just ordered a Scangauge II before joining this group even though I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks now.
I'm trying to solve the poor MPG on my 04 MUSTANG 3.8 and I hope Scangauge II will help me see whats going on even though there is no CEL on.I've just cleaned the MAF sensor,and changed the air filter,my fingers are crossed for an Improvement.

I am only two days old in hypermiling, so pardon my ignorance. A year ago a friend sold me a 1993 Honda Civic VX. It was designed specifically for high mpg and I love it for everything that it doesn't have: power steering, ac, power windows. It does have an indicator that by speed, tells you when to up shift, and in idle, it goes to half the cylinders firing. But I want to learn to maximize its potential. How can I adapt my VX to accomodate ScanGuage-II for real time mpg measuring?

Hello ALL, I just found this sight through the TDI Club.
I ordered my Scan Gage this past Thursday and received it on Monday 5 May 2008.
Great service from Linear-Logic.
I installed it in my 2005 Golf TDI yesterday and was very easy to set-up in the TDI.
This should help me get to even better MPG and is very easy to use. Now I may get one for the gasser Golf/Rabbit as well.

any idea on when Excel will get back in town to send confirms?

He should be home this evening. I'm not sure how long it will take him to get through the week long backlog of new posts around here but I'm pretty sure this will be one of the first things he tends to.

I've gone to the ScanGauge website and don't know if there is a way to adapt my 1993 Honda Civic VX to their gauge. It may be lacking the sensors needed for the mpg input. Is there a way to add these or is there another gauge that might work to give me real time mpg?

___Unfortunately, the ScanGauge will not work with your 93 VX. The 93 VX was a lean-burner, wasn’t it? If so, that can be even more problematic?

___Fortunately, CleanMPG member Yoshi designed and built the SuperMid that taps into an injector line and VSS for its FE calc’s. Very accurate too! Although not a plug and play instrument, it has some very interesting features albeit in metric to date that I know about.

BTW, I just realized you are the guy I read about in that article I found on digg (http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/2007/01/king_of_the_hypermilers.html) about getting 100+MPG in a Prius. I think you scared that poor reporter, lol. Hmm, just realized that article is well over a year old.

I still feel like I was boned for them selling me a SG-1 with a straight voice over the the phone when they had SG-II boxed up ready to go. So when they build and sell a logging SG-III or what ever they call it. I expect a buy back and credit for my we screwed you SG-I.

I know I read somewhere that there was going to be a SG-III in the very near future. Can someone point me to the link or tell me when they expect to release the SG-III to the public, would sure be nice to get in on a group buy with the SG-III, I'm kinda holding out for that though very tempted to get the SG-II cause I'm impatient and wanna learn hypermiling with the gauge.
