This was taken for a distance, so refer to the close-up in the upper right. For at least five minutes, this woman was ideling by the lobby while waiting for Bubba. Smoking, chatting on the phone...she was in the shade, but in the sun it was 75, maybe 80F! What was she thinking? If she did, she did not care!
Have stories of your own? Send them and your pictures and they will be the next “What were they thinking”!
Gairwyn 04-23-2008, 09:33 PM Reminds me of my neighbor. The other day she came home from work, backed her big GMC vehicle into the driveway, but only as far as the mailbox. She got out, retrieved her mail, then started a conversation with me. I didn't realize until I walked across the street to talk with her that her SUV was idling this whole time.
At that point I noticed her little boy approaching from beside the SUV, so I said "I'm gonna let you go now..."
Yeah, go park that thing in the garage and turn it off.
bomber991 04-23-2008, 11:19 PM Oh man, at jack in the box the other day this fat lady was sitting in an old 95 suburban idling the whole time I was there. But I got the food to go, so I wasn't there but for five minutes.
Yeah but whatever, by buying fastfood myself that makes me a jerk.
JusBringIt 04-24-2008, 01:54 PM personally i think if people stopped idling, or at least drove consciously, things would change, how about tickets for idling? :D( except for emergency vehicles) not anything that'll put you out of house and home, but you know..those annoying ones for like 30 bucks. i think those parking enforcers would have something to do. i think our laws need to be revised a bit. if someone knows that what they're doing will cost them, they're less likely to do it!

Shiba3420 04-24-2008, 02:30 PM I love the ones who go through the drive-through and then park & eat. Maybe they have a social phobia of some kind.
