Not to rub it in, but on the freeway, I get 50 miles to the gallon.
In the city, I get about 43 mpg, a reduction that upsets me, even though I understand it. The Prius, Toyota's flagship gas/electric hyrbrid, doesn't like the frequent stops and starts of urban driving. But still, 43 miles to the gallon? I feel like I've won a small lottery.
This whole Prius thing is starting to catch on in Birmingham. Six of my friends have bought one within the last 18 months. I'd heard them rave about its comfort, and its unbelievable amount of head and leg room. They bragged they could do a U-ey on a dime.
