Slate gives a helpful article comparing the candidates' positions on the environment, including ethanol, carbon credits, and renewable energy.

I found it helpful -- I hope others will too.

HCHCIN:

Thanks for the link!

I haven't looked at Clinton vs Obama with a microscope, but I have heard Obama talk about the massive amounts of money leaving the country, enabling despots and folks who don't like us with large chucks of petro dollars. He seems to "get it" from what I've heard?

Thanks,

Bob

I'm happy about this election. I'll be honest and say that I hope McCain wins (he wasn't my first choice). But if he loses we might see a push toward energy conservation and better fuel efficiency. And if a democrat wins and we don't see a marked change it will prove my hunch that the oil companies are in control after all.

So you see it's win/win for me!

when you think of it really...its not always what the politicians are saying will get done, but WHO will actually be getting anything done, everything looks good on paper to voters, but just b/c its on paper doesnt mean it will happen. I'm sure most of you here know that. That is the primary reason i Hope obama wins, and I really dont want mccain to win because that will extend our stay in iraque to infinity. not really looking forward to a looming war.
