A major Biodiesel terminal opened in Dallas. Tanker trucks will distribute it to stations. Willie Nelson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BioWillie) was on hand for the opening.

Several months ago the president told us we were addicted to oil I know I’ve been addicted to many things, but I didn’t know oil was one them. I am trying get off of it. :D

___It appears that this article might be about B20? I see no problems with either B20 or B100 down in Dallas but I do wonder about the cost/gallon? Is it (B20 or B100) price competitive with straight #2 is the real question I am interested in? If it’s blended to B2, 5, or 11, the price would be nearly the same … Any minor amount is less imported but again, what is the price? E85 is absolutely ridiculously priced due to the MTBE issue and E10 based mandates vs. straight gasoline as of late and I wonder if B20 + is running into the same situation?

Wayne, I don't know of the kind of biodiesel or if they offer different varieties.

Anyone wonder why it's located in Dallas? My take is Dallas has more mall and resturants per capita than anywhere else in the US - if not the world. So it's no wonder that for the last couple of years Dallas is in at least the top 10 (if not top 5) of America's Fattest Cites according to Men's Fittness. :eek: :eek: :eek: Yes, Big D can really grease up this biodiesel depot. :D

I can see a problem some consumers will have with biodiesel (may or may not be funny). Will there be a problem if the biodiesel is processed from bacon fat? Would Islamist terrorist groups start condeming Americans for polluting the air with pork fat, and some service stations sell kosher biodiesel? Hope nobody is offended, but it's probably a matter of time before someone makes an issue of this.
