I wonder what Kia US sales volumes would be if the 78.5 mpg(Imperial) combined … UK out-the-door priced GBP £12,695 (estimated USD $15,128 EXPORT list) … Rio 5dr hatchback 1.1Diesel EcoDynamics 1 Air 6 M/T were available in the US.

From what I was advised (as my car hasn't got an EPA), I think it'll be 83% of European figures, so that'll be 65.155mpgUK which equates to 54.25mpgUS

it would be nice if we could import european certified diesels that dont meet US pollution requirements.. many places in the US could handle the extra NOX pollution with no problems. Meeting US specs is not cheap. Also, note the 0-60 of that car.. if you dont mind slow how about a 3 cylinder 1L gas engine instead?..
