Have you ever seen a sadder sight :(

I took my son back to Iowa after his spring break on Sunday and saw this on the way out near DeKalb, IL while on I-88.

I have never seen this before and while we had some winds the previous weeks; I do not remember any being over 30-mph gusts for the past month or so?

See, that's the problem with wind. Intermittent and the turbines break. It's all so pointless.

I'm just noticing the old windmill in the background on the lower picture. I wonder how old that is?

The houses near by are very fortunate that the end of that blade didn't let go!! :eek:
