Ouch at the rpm. Not as bad as some (Fit :eyebrow:), and ok for my non-highway commute, but it'll be an mpg drain above 55 mph.

Two questions I sent in to our friends at Mazda were just answered.
The center storage armrest/compartment option is an accessory item in final stages of development/pricing, it will become available in mid-January 2011.


The Cd is 0.33.

Compared to the Fiesta, it looks like they gave up a few inches of hatch space and added it to the rear seat legroom. That's a worthy compromise in my opinion.

I like the dash mounted shifter and the low-to-the-floor console.. just perfect. Even better if it was a column mounted shifter... or a pushbutton gear selector for the AT if you must have a slushbox.
