Mission One at Bonnevile – First Battery Electric Motorcycle (BEM) to reach 150 mph.

With the San Mateo Cycle World show ending last weekend, the entire entourage moves to Long Beach. For visitors to the show, the “Explore Motorcycling Welcome Center” will have the Mission One on display. This is the current state of the art in high performance battery electric motorcycling. In addition, Missions One team members will be on hand to answer questions and give you an overview as to the Mission One’s capability and their experience at the first ever Isle of Man TTXGP (cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24349 ) held in June of this year.

The Mission One is blend of technologies unmatched by any other manufacturer or group in the BEM category blending utter silence, high speed, monstrous torque beginning at 0 RPM, range unheard of form an all-electric bike and a head turning design bound to attract or disgust ;)

Power via its all-electric drivetrain can take the Mission One to 150 mph and 150 miles AER.

Handing is provided by a custom built chassis, suspension equipped with Ohlins, brakes from Brembo, and wheels from Marchesini.

Telematics include a fully equipped data acquisition system and wireless communication capability allowing riders to capture, analyze and adjust systems including throttle maps, regenerative braking and multiple ride settings from the convenience of their laptop.

You can read more about the Mission One and its World Record Setting run at Bonneville (cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25045) this past September.

Speed and fuel efficient are not normally spoken in the same sentence but in this case, it is definitely the exception :)
