A little far-fetched, but the ideas and potential are very interesting. Thinking big and crazy can have quite a bit of merit. --Ed.

Stephen Colbert: My guest tonight wants to build carbon-neutral cities. I assume he wants humans to become "something-else-based" lifeforms. Please welcome Mitchell Joachim.

[Music and applause]

SC: Hey, how's it going there, Mr. Joachim? Mr.? Dr.? Are you a Dr.?

Mitchell Joachim: Uh, I have a Ph.D.

SC: A Ph.D in...?

MJ: ...in computation and architecture.

SC: Computation and architecture, that's like counting how many houses there are in a neighborhood. Why computation and architecture?

MJ: It's a slightly new field, computers have become very important to architects. So we're innovating through thinking about scripts and how computers use machine language to build shape grammars and make buildings.

SC: Shape grammars?

MJ: Yeah, that might be a tough term, it's a...

SC: You've lost me. You've shaken me. If you were trying to get me lost in the woods of your mind, it's dark and I'm scared.

Definitely a different way of thinking. Even if none of this comes to realization in the near future, it may plant a seed in the minds of future generations. Or it will make an interesting sci-fi movie. :D - Dale

Can you imagine the fun of hitting a wall in a nerf car at high speeds? Imagine the effects of aggressive drivers if everyone was in a nerf car!
