Hi Terry:
___Great find! It appears as if the entire western portion of the country (sans Arizona) is getting hammered? I know CA CFG is expensive but it is not supposed to be $1.00 more expensive?
___Good Luck

Hi Terry:
___The map is fairly accurate too although is it built off members uploads or from a more accurate county by county local survey? I pulled into a Shell in Cook County, IL. tonight. $2.859. I took a 1.003 gallons to make it home. Pulled into my local Shell in Lake County, IL. and it was $2.599. Filled it up all the at that time ;)
___Good Luck

I like watching gasbuddy. I alwasy check connecticutgasprices.com (a microcosm of gasbuddy) to figure out what a reasonable price is for my area. The only problem is that you can get bad info sometimes. For example, I went driving yesterday to look for a Shell station that supposedly exists not too far from me, and had prices in the $2.639 range vs. the $2.779 around the corner but closer to the highway. Only problem is, I can't find it? My hunch is that whoever made the submission made a mistake. The price was right but it was at Valero, Citgo, Sunoco, and a couple others.

Has anybody looked at the HTML SOURCE for that page? No wonder
I can't see it. Why the heck can't they make it a simple image
map, which is what image maps were designed for?
.
The "national web idiocy temperature map" would be interesting...

I have been a user of the GasBuddy websites for some time now. I wonder why the Denver area in particular is so slow to see the recent gasoline price drops. Historically, the Denver area has had very comparable prices to more eastern areas. For example, during the past 3 years, it looks like the average price in Denver has been very close to the average price in St. Louis with the exception of the last month or so. Now gas is about 60 cents cheaper in St. Louis.
