Hi All:

___A previous post from the temp server ...

___I have been watching the gasoline futures falling like a rock these past 3 weeks and I see RFG in the $1.78 w/straight gasoline in the $1.73 range. Given the normal tax and transportation costs adder, we should see an ~ $0.75 - $0.80 premium on top of the futures at the pump … Here in IL., we are still looking at $2.85 - $2.90 per across much of the northern half of the state. So where is the rest of that $0.35 + going given the oil companies are not in collusion on price in a fair and open market place per Federal law?

Hi All:

___And we finally saw the break here in Gurnee, IL. although just a small break … $2.73 last night at my local Shell. Should be down near the $2.50 range by my math but every little bit helps. Another nickel drop on the straight gasoline and a few pennies on RFG via the futures today too ;)

Things are looking up...or down?...here as well. CT has been in the highest price bracket for some time, second only to Hawaii and sometimes California. My local stations happen to be some of the cheapest in the state, and are in the $2.75-$2.85 range at the moment. The drop is steady, though. I imagine we could get into the low $2 range before the next ramp-up, which tends to coincide Thanksgiving if you look at historical data. Oh, what an interesting ride this is.

Gotta run Premium in both cars (one's required). The project car has a Hot-Air Intake that requires that extra octane or ping-central. May be a little more $$$, but fewer carbon emissions! :woot:

$2.499 - Regular at QuikTrip; Lee's Summit, MO (SE Kansas City)
