Stolen by kids? Satanists? Religious? (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iamAyqb-XfLiVtmiQbKh-fypDL8gD93GN3TO0)

Wayne will end his 48-state trek on US 491 - formerly US 666 Mu Ha Ha Ha! - Ed.

BARNEGAT, N.J. - Is the Garden State Parkway the highway to hell? Or is the New Jersey Turnpike the road to damnation? Someone keeps stealing the metal signs at mile marker 66.6 along the heavily traveled toll roads, and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority is having a devil of a time keeping up with the thefts.

It's been happening all over the country, particularly on roads with names like Route 666. Officials aren't sure if the thefts are being committed by religious zealots upset about the number's association in the Bible with the devil, by Satanic scavenger hunters, or by college students who think a '666' sign would look cool in their dorm room… http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iamAyqb-XfLiVtmiQbKh-fypDL8gD93GN3TO0

During my high school years in New Jersey, Bruce Springsteen had a song called Born to Run where he described his locale as a death trap a suicide rap, we've gotta get out while were young. We knew he was referring to New Jersey and I today I guess, in a humorous note, the stealing of the signs steals the deal. :)

Any country that plants 666 signs in their roadside deserves to burn. It's the mark of the devil.

I hope this is a joke. We better take down any signs like 33.3 then too as that is 66.6 divided by two. Come on, people, it's a numeral meaning nothing more than 1,2 or 3.

I totally believe this.

I live AND hypermile in central New Jersey using the **dreaded** turnpikes and such, and the traffic is just as HORRID as all the rumors are. Also, most of the rumors about New Jersey such as high taxes, living expenses, corrupt gov't, voter fraud, general unpleasant rudeness, worst roadways and manners, mafia/sopranos, dump/swamps, ect are all alive and well here.

Great place to live if you're rich like quit a few people are here. Other than that BEWARE!
