A Department of Energy study determines that with large scale investment it is technically possible to cover 20% of the U.S. energy with wind power. Currently we cover approximately 20% of our electrical demand with natural gas. This seems like a worthy endeavor; however, one that will not come without challenges and cost, I'm afraid.

Sounds a lot better than replacing gasoline with ethanol.

I'll respond to that bait with: Each has its own set of benefits and costs...there are many long term challenges that we will face while our fossil fuels dwindle. :)
