Just wanted to say hi everybody. I traded my big gas guzzlin Nissan Titan in on my 08 Prius, and beside all my friend's saying "you won't be happy if you do that" I have never been happier! I have read a lot on this site and Prius Chat, and my tanks keep getting better every time I fill er up! The first tank was 42 mpgus, the second 48 and now on my third tank I'm at 250 miles with 56.4! Just ordered my scan gauge, and am axiously awaiting that. Just wanted to say it's great to see how many people are on sites like this who care about using less, saving money, and polluting less. I am newly reformed green.:Banane03:

It's funny...my car has totally changed my thinking in a lot of areas...
Can't wait to get the numbers on this tank and get in the logs.

Welcome to CleanMPG!

The good news is it gets better as you learn all the nuiances of the Prius - the glide for instance (experts: is it at 40mph or less, slight tap on the accelertor and shift in neutral?)

It's funny to think that I used to really want a Titan, but they've always been too expensive. Nissan has never really been a big player as far as mpg goes either.

Yeah, I too started to think "I must also have friends who don't know what they are talking about". ;)

Enjoy the ride.................you are in proximity to a good number of helpful experts.

yea, that's true I just realized that Hybridfest is 35 miles from here. Is that a big turnout?
