...because every jerk thinks they are....Special!
Sighted by: lamebums
Vehicle: Mitsubishi SUV
Place: Cold Spring, Kentucky
Date: Mid-March 2008
At first glance I thought this picture would be self-explanatory. :(
Maybe the driver should get some exercise too - is he one of the gym members that set the treadmill at 1mph on a cellphone while three others are waiting to get a real workout? Really don't need to mention what the SPCA would think...
Have stories of your own? Send them and your pictures and they will be the next Jerk of the Day!
Chuck 03-30-2008, 05:37 PM I don't think the dog is pulling this sled. ;)
applemac*fit 03-30-2008, 06:01 PM Wow - that is lazy!
This picture reminds me of a lazy mother in my last neighborhood. She would drive around the neighborhood following her 7-year-old son - who was on his bicycle. She was so scared of her kid getting hurt (I suppose) she had to keep a constant eye on him, yet was too lazy to actually walk around or bike around the neighborhood with him. Mind you - this was a military-owned neighborhood with security.
efusco 03-30-2008, 06:55 PM While this is, most likely, a prime example of pure laziness it's possible that the driver is not capable of walking the dog him/herself.
When I lived in Alaska we had a lady in the neighborhood who walked her dog with her car like this simply b/c the dog was bigger than her and she was elderly and frail...she simply couldn't handle the dog on a leash.
Right Lane Cruiser 03-30-2008, 08:28 PM I'm sorry but this pic really angered me. Not only is the driver wasting a lot of gas, the dog could run in front of the driver's vehicle -- or another one. You can see the pair of them are taking up the entire road. Realistically, how much passing room is there going to be with another vehicle coming along? What's the speed limit on this road???
 :ccry:
If the driver isn't capable of walking the dog, he or she should find someone who can instead of creating a dangerous situation like this.
Chuck 03-30-2008, 08:46 PM Post this on a pet forum and there would be cries to turn the driver in for animal abuse instantly. If the driver was identified, all the local rescues would put him on their blacklist.
As Sean noted, this is offensive on many levels.

It's the former. That dog can't be more than 60lbs.
bestmapman 03-30-2008, 09:55 PM Wow, and I thought I was lazy. Sean is right. There is no reason that I can think of to do this.
Chuck 03-30-2008, 09:59 PM If we go back and vote for the biggest jerk, this one seems to be the frontrunner.
JusBringIt 03-31-2008, 12:09 AM ......:( Some times you really just dont know how to react....what compels someone to do this???? that's as dangerous as it is criminal!
hobbit 03-31-2008, 07:19 PM And what happens when the dog needs to, uh, fulfill the purpose
of going out for the walk/drive in the first place?
.

Perhaps we could do a monthly vote for the 'Jerk of the Month'... and eventually 'Jerk of the year' from all the Jerk of the months? :p
Hi AppleMac*Fit:
___Yet another good idea for Jerk of the Day!
___Good Luck

zjrog 04-03-2008, 11:26 AM Hmm, what a waste. I'm certain though, my English Mastiff could pull that.
Lord Biron 04-03-2008, 11:48 AM Sadly I can relate to this one...
my neighbor across the way, sometimes walks her dog without a leash, but "monitors" him in a V8 GMC Yukon. (6.1 Liter).
Ironically, she is a marathon runner... hahahahhaha
is that a Wisconsin plate? if so... hahahah, because we live in Wisconsin too... maybe its a thing around here.
I do live in a sea of idiots.

It was Ohio plates. I, living barely five miles from the border with Ohio, unfortunately have many, many near-death experiences with cars bearing Ohio plates... :(
boxchain 04-03-2008, 06:52 PM I take my dog on bike rides instead. He pulls me for the first couple of blocks before he settles down.
bomber991 10-27-2008, 03:29 AM So are you gonna send this picture to animal control or what?
