This is the last tank of gas I just filled up with a minute ago.
I think not bad at all considering that I drive the car in the city each day 6.1 miles back and forth to work and then to lunch in traffic and the A/C is set on 78 Degrees Auto.

There was one trip made in it this afternoon to my brother-in-laws house which was approx. 40 miles each way.

Actual Miles Per Gallon is: 596.9 Divided by 13.049= 45.753 MPG

A ~600 mile tank -- that's really good news Tiger. And is that 78 degrees pretty comfortable for you? It's already getting warm in L.A. and I'm going to have to figure out how to use the least a/c possible for afternoon commutes. We don't have "econ mode" on the HCH-2 unfortunately.

(No bars on gauge and warning light on, right? And at 596.9 odometer you didn't want to circle the gas station a few more times first? Tsk) :p

Whoa Tiger way to go!
Your next will be even better, I can tell. :rolleyes:

Tarabell It's gettin low-mid 90's and very high humidity here in GA. Really hot trips.
This afternoon I wish I had my cooler of ice water with me and the dabbing cloth.
That's what I did all last summer to keep cool.

Fanatical, yes. Higher MPG than using AC...very much so! Definetly not for everyone and I only resort to that extreme while driving solo.

Tara;
Last 56 miles driven was with {No-Fuel-Showing} on fuel gauge. :p I like to play it (Close).

I did think about driving down the street and back to get the odometer on 600 miles even showing. Problem, wife was in car and I really don't think she would have seen the "Humor" in me walking back to the gas station to get a gas container to get the HCH II restarted if I ran out of gas. So I decided to leave well enough alone and have a (Happy-Wife) when we got home last evening. ;) Another reason I was a little afraid to push this further was because I had the auto climate control on and set at 78 degrees. Not sure if I really had much reserve fuel left after driving approx. 56 miles or so on No-Gas-Showing on fuel gauge. So it just was not in the cards to go for the other 3.1 miles. I'm kinda silly enough to do it but not with the wife in the car and it at night on a two-lane country road. Sorry !!!!! :o

Yes I have tried many settings on the temp. 78 Degrees is great and anyone can live with that. Tried 80 but it just does not really work well (IMO).

Thanks Laurie, and Phil you Bragger :)

Hot Georgia, your one (Tough-Guy). I'm to old and love that A/C Electric Compressor. :)

kek! I realized that you always had your climate control on. Temps over here are not that hot yet but on some days with a black car it can be roasting! You can be like me and keep the windows up when your accelerating and then down them when you slow down ;) yes I have rolling windows too!!

But if you always keep the themostat on cold like me (even on a cold day) and turning on the fan when the windows are foggy (cold air of course). Maybe you'll get numbers like mine :) I still need to talk to Tom about the mileage logs since this tank really screwed up my signature.

Chevron Gas station (**** EV killers)
716.1 KM (444.96 Miles) (Honda Civic Odometer before last fillup)
37.055 Liters (9.788 Gallons)
1.124 dollars a Liter (3.80 Dollars US a Gallon)
Total: $41.65 ($37.20 US May 24th, 2006)
GST note: $2.72 ($2.43 US) <--- so we barely get taxed! Oil companies get all the profit ;(

KM per Liter: 19.33 (rounded)
L per 100 KM: 5.17 (rounded)
Miles per Gallon: 45.5 (rounded)
City: 85%
Highway: 15%
Gas gauge pointing before fillup: 1/4
Scangauge tank mpg: Before I destroyed it 4 cold starts back it was reading at 42 mpg US.

really tiger try no climate for a tank and see how much better you do. I heard AC really tax small engines!

I have never owned a vehicle that you could drive {719.3 Miles} on {13.220 Gallons} of gas.

That gives you an actual MPG of: {54.41 MPG}

Phil, (No-A/C) !!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
