Hello Tom, Xcel, DeltaFlyer, Terry, Koko, ...etc

I am glad that you chose vBulletin for this forum, the interface is very "clean" and easy to navigate.

I also like the name "CleanMPG". If you were in Canada you would have to call it "Clean-Litres-per-hundred-kilometres" ;)

My Car history:

'62 Willys station wagon (4wd)
'78 Honda Civic hatchback
'82 Honda Civic sedan
'84 Toyota Tercel Wagon (4wd)
'86 Olds Cuttlass Cierra (lemon)
'88 Honda Civic hatchback
'90 Mazda MPV
'95 Acura Integra
'98 Honda Odyssey
'98 Acura 2.5 TL (still have it)
'00 BMW 323i
'03 BMW 325xi (awd ...still have it)

'06 HCH Alabaster Silver (on order)
'06 HCH Sparkle Grey (on order)

My best cars the Acuras and the Hondas. Worst car the '86 Olds.
Except for the Willys and the '98 Acura TL, I bought all the cars new.

Welcome to CleanMPG!

The funny thing is friends from MSN Groups often don't understand vBulletin, yet complain how it's such a bandwidth guzzler. I find vBulletin not to be hard at all!

Hi Katz.

Welcome to the Forum. :D

The more the Merrier I say.:)

If I just read your Intro. Correct, You have two HCH II's on Order?

One was the Alabaster Silver Metallic I think.

That makes us have something in common here.

Hi Katz6768:

___A TL yes? You own my Accord’s big brother and oh what a beauty it is … We almost traded the 03 MDX in on one last year in fact!

___Now about its FE … We can help a ton in that regard if you are interested ;)

PS: We have some metric based surprises in store for our north of the border members …

___Good Luck and Welcome.

___Wayne

Thanks for your replies.

I've been following your posts at GH and I feel like I know you all.

Terry, I couldn't get to the thread you've mentioned, but I know about your tribulations :D

My wife and I are both waiting for our new '06 HCHs (Alabaster Silver & Sparkle Grey).

I currently drive the '03 BMW 325xi, I am on a 3 year lease that ends in May. So I don't want to take delivery of the HCH before May.
The BMW has a lifetime display for MPG which currently shows 10.7 Lt/100km that translated to english is 22 MPG. It also has the trip counter that I reset every time I fill-up and another figure that shows how many more kilometers I can drive with the gas left in the tank. To know how well I am doing I add mentally the travelled distance to the distance left in the tank to see how many kilometers I will get with this tank of gas.
When I started reading GH I was getting around 500 km from a tank of gas, now I can easily get over 600 km, this is a 20%+ increase with 2 minor adjustments: I increased the air in the front tires from 30psi to 35psi and I drive like a nice person. ;)

My wife drives the '98 TL. This is an odd 5 cylinder car that I bought with some reservations. The TL has been by far our best car, it gets 22 MPG in mainly city driving and it feels like a brand new luxury car. My wife has no interest in changing her driving habits so it's going to be interesting to see how we do with the 2 hybrids. The TL has already been negotiated as a trade-in for one of the new HCHs. My wife will probably get her new car before I do because of the lease on the BMW
