I went to the Cincinnati Auto Show today. The most interesting thing was what was being promoted. The place was filled with SUV's. It seemed most of the people were all around the SUV's and were ignoring the smaller cars and hybrids. Toyota had one Prius and it was getting some attention. Honda had one HCH2, and the whole time I was there, hardly anyone looked at it.

I'll load some pics in a moment.

When I first saw this I thought it was the Volt. But no, it is the new Camaro.

Here is the odd thing about the show. The HCH2 was virtually ignored.

Nice post. How can one blame the car companies for featuring the SUVs if that's what the public obviously wanted? Several of them probably complained about the price of gas while filling up on the way home.

Well, the HCH2 and Prius aren't really anything new. Don't think most people had the chance to see a Tahoe hybrid yet.

It's crazy how many Americans want SUV's!

Yeah, I was there too, on Saturday - I almost entirely ignored the center section, the one with all the pickup's and SUV's. Although I did see how much room actually was in a Hummer (not much!) and an Escalade (actually big, and has a third row of seats). I tried out the VW's, Porsche, Scion, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Mercedes, Hyundai (and a pitifully underpowered Tiburon, pulling 170HP and weighing about 3,000lbs), and a few Chevy's. I'm sure I missed some of what I checked out that day. I was most impressed with the Scion's sound system (especially for low-end cars), the size of the new Corolla (I think it's a midsize by now!), and the sheer number of buttons and toys on the Lexus 460. Unbelieveable... And I was impressed by the passenger space in the Prius II (especially the back seats). A bit confused with the tiny shifter and power button though.

Best road trip car ever - Camry Solara convertible. Big enough for my 6'4'' 270+lb ass, yet still a nice car.
