Hi everyone:

Was trying to look up parts on the Motorcraft Service website (unsuccessfully) and came across a new PDF that should be of interest to any 2008 Ford/Mercury HEV owners:

"OBD System Operation Summary for Hybrid Electric Vehicles(HEV) - Model Year 2008"

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...DSM800_HEV.pdf

There are PDFs available for the 2005, 2006, & 2007 model years too:D.

They are available at :

Your first link is busted, and your second one loops.

I went to the 2nd link and pulled down the 1996 pdf file using Firefox on a WinXP Dell here at work.

I used the first link and then got to this link for the 2008 FEH:

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/diagnostics/pdf/OBDSM800_HEV.pdf

This is really interesting. As a new 2008 FEH owner, I have been considering getting the ScanGauge, and this document does a good job of explaining a lot of information that I didn't even know about.

Being kind of new to this, seems like some important sections are:

- Propulsion Modes
- PCM On Board Diagnostic Executive
- Serial Data Link MIL Illumination

Thanks for the Intel!
