I ran across this BBC Article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4550751.stm) on the Land Rover.

It's the kind of article you would expect to see on the Hummer - particularly the H2. Did a little reserch and with an EPA estimate of 13/18mpg, it's more like an H3. Gas guzzler - yes. The worst gas pig - no. An intimidating "in your face jumbo SUV" - no we're British. :D

The article linked above has readers comments, the usual pros and cons, plus and unusual one about an LPG Range Rover.

It was interesting seeing a somewhat different perspective and a different target.

i remember in top gear, the host of the show had a guest. And that guest was embarrased to talk about her vehicle because she admitted it was bad for the enviroment. When the host found out it was a range rover he's like, "That's fantastic! Who cares what other people say about your car, the safety of you and your kids make it worth it."

Then again the hosts of top gear always make fun of fuel efficent cars, looks like someone is brainwashed with speed, power and money.

He's funny at least, but I stopped following after realizing all the cars they have shown me, I'll never drive so why drool over something you don't need or will never get? It just makes you brainwashed some more.
