Does anyone make/where can I buy a short jumper cable to connect my two SGs? I've got a 3ft cord but that is too much even if coiled up. I don't want a lot or wires hanging off the dash.

BTW since coming to this forum and reading all the tips and using my SGII ver3.15 smarter I've increased by Aver Fuel Econ according to the Driver Information Center on the FEH from 27.7 to 28.8. It doesn't sound like a lot but to me it is and in the right direction. This summer I hope to get to an average of 30. More people in the family than myself drive the FEH so it is kind of hard to be consistent.

Thanks is advance.

On line, I saw as short as a 6" cable, but I got a 1' cable for $1.49 free shipping just before Xmas. I called the 1-800 # and talked to a person that laughed because the company lost money on that deal because of the free shipping and credit card fee.

Yes, I got a CAT 5, but I heard either one will work. I wanted black, but they come in all colors. This cable is to connect one SGII to another (daisy chain), here's a video I just seen with three of then hooked up:

Is there anything special with setting up the second one, or just plug it in and go?

I'm currently showing Ave MPG (current trip) and instant MPG on the left side. SoC and MPH on the right. I really like comparing instant vs Ave MPG at the same time and can keep trying to improve during my daily trips. I miss having the digital readout on RPM though, so I'm thinking about having the current ave on the second SGII.

My wife's not real crazy about me having the second one hooked up though (thinks I might get distracted). Gary, thanks for the link with the Prius! I showed it her ... it could be a lot worse!

Thanks,

Rick

First, again thanks for the all the info on the cable, I found a 6in cable for 1.99 on line.

Secondly, is there a way to hack into the ECM as shown in the video to fool the computer. This would probably be of great help to us that live in colder areas of the country.

Nothing special with setting up the second SGII, just plug it into the SGII plugged into the OBDII with the CAT cable. BTW, you are more distracted changing the screens around IMO. I get much more distracted driving the beach roads than watching the gauges myself.

Having two SGII's is perfect for me because you can program either your Current, Today or Tank average as one of your 4 gauges and have 7 other gauges to monitor. I think it's better to study the effects of techniques and gauge readouts for awhile then move on to other gauges. However, there are gauges I want to monitor all the time like SoC, instant MPG, and Load.

It's kinda neat seeing the SGII being used all over the World now!

I'm sure we will find a hack with Carl's help, but I would wait till the 8yr/100,000 or 10yr/150,000 warranty ran out on the HV battery, eCVT and DC/DC converter myself. Ford was trying to find out if I hacked my PCM when the HV battery was showing bad. Facing a fight with Ford over replacing a $7,000 battery plus installation is not worth it to me. I'm sure the eCVT or the DC/DC converter are not cheap either.

The hack into the ECU was not scangauge related, but I'm sure its simple variable resister/potentiometer wired in line with the coolant temp sensor to modify what the ECU sees.
