The issue with the ECM, made me wonder what the total number of miles that Insights with MIMA have been driven.
I installed mine at 79,500 miles, and the car is now at 125,384. Thats 45,884 miles.
The guy with the ECM issues has 28,464 MIMA Miles.
Total 74,384 MIMA Miles.

How about you other MIMA drivers adding your MIMA Miles to the tally?

It will be difficult for Honda to prove that MIMA is bad for the car if we can show 100's of K and over 50 owners with no MIMA related issues.

It would be great if we could get Honda to OK MIMA as a safe modification, so we can have regular service without the need to pull or disconnect anything.

I have about ~25,000 Miles on my MIMA.

But I think you have better chances of hitting the lottery than getting Honda's blessing....

The best I think MIMA users can hope for from Honda the company is exaclty what they have been getting so far, Nothing.... As far I know all the negative Honda reactions and such to MIMA have been at the dealer level; not at the Honda Corperate Level.... As far as I know Honda Corperate has been silent and made no official comments about MIMA , not even to ackknowledge it exsists.

Probably correct, but Honda doing nothing about MIMA is just fine with me.

Don't have my records here but I probably have >10,000 miles on mine since we installed it last summer. No problems and totally happy with it!!

If my estimate mileage is wrong I'll correct it later.

Mike, there will be 1500 more miles on my car by wednesday next week. Heading to detroit and I can't wait to see what I can do with MIMA.

Manual Intergrated Motor Assist. Its an add on computer for the honda Insight to allow manual control over the hybrid motor. It is designed and sold by Mike Dabrowski. His website is www.99mpg.com

Maybe this thread should be the MIMA Miles counter.
If anyone wants to add their miles to the total, just add the total to your post.
Copy the last total: 100,084 total for 4 cars
add your miles: Lightfoots 10K would make it 110,084 for 5 cars. Round to the nearest K miles.
If Blake wants to add his new miles, he can add a post where he corrects the total miles, leave the car total the same at the end of your post.
All we have to do is remember if you have added your total.

Confirming that the Little Beast is at 10K with MIMA right now!

I had about 10K with mine.

Running total: 120K miles for 6 cars

As of this date:
Mine 49295 miles.

And then the thought occurs, I wonder if all MIMA users were to report, if MIMA has reached a millon miles of usage. We could be getting close with ~50 units installed.

Wow already at 220K with only 8 cars. We should easily hit 1 million MSM. The big question is how many of the MIMA guys watch this forum?

I finally will be getting off my dial up ISP, and will get cable this afternoon with some high speed access. The problem is to get the new e-mail address out to everyone, so my first e-mail will be to all of the MIMA people, and ask that they contribute their MSM to the total.

I wonder how many miles Honda logged when developing the Insight IMA?

Chuck, you need to add it to the total, and increment the car total.
220K with 8 cars + your 29K = 249K with 9 cars
Total 249K @ 9 cars

I'm in the neighborhood of 32,000 miles

281K @ 10 cars

Still Zero. :( I just need a free warm weekend. Now that I realize that I'm not getting a new ecm under the recall, there's no excuse to put it off. Thanks for tipping me off on that Mike.

Has anyone ever thought of putting the joystick on the handle of the drivers armrest. I think it can be done - just wondering??
