i like sharing information about how to improve our FE and also our driving skills. i have had my HCH for 8 months now, and am just coming of 6 weeks off after knee surgery. i was getting very good mileage last fall, and am looking forward to how far i can push it this summer.
i see a lot of familiar names. HELLO, ALL!!

___Kind of a coincidence but I was talking about you in chat the other night and am glad to see you here! Welcome to CleanMPG because you were not just one of the most promising hypermiling prospects of all last year, you were an inspiration to many an HCH-I owner the world over!
___Welcome and Good Luck

Chuck 05-17-2006, 10:32 PM Welcome Laurie!
We are a community of dedicated hypermilers and thought you would enjoy it here.
Have you done rehab in a gym?
You might consider it a hoot if you walked on a treadmill then as you finished got the stats:
Miles: 5.0
Time: 72 minutes
Calories: 540
Average heartbeat: 123
Look familiar? :D
philmcneal 05-18-2006, 03:01 AM nice she owns a stick too! i remember you were pretty good keeping it at 60 mpg consant average, i wonder how far you'll soar now?

Chuck 05-18-2006, 09:00 AM I was trying to point out how the readouts on exercise equipment look like ScanGauge. :D

thanks, wayne {{{blushing}}}
i am on a mission to average 60 mpg with my little magnesium car. last night was hard, since there was a 30mph headwind all the way home.......but i'm back in the groove. it took a little while. when i drive the truck i tried to use the hypermiling technique, but it just doesn't work very well......

yup, i "graduated from formal PT" on tuesday, went back to work yesterday, and go to the gym every day to keep the ROM i need on the knee.
hey, how do i add my car stats to my sig?
Chuck 05-18-2006, 11:44 AM I did physical therapy in early 1998 after foolishly snapping my right ACL ligament in a skiing accident. I skiied like the reckless driver weaving at 85mph and got what was comming.
First of all, my skis needed filing and waxing. It was more critical because the conditions were icy, making control harder. Finally, I was foolish enough to ski fast for my ability and set my bindings to release slower.
Thought that might get a few laughs....
laurieaw 05-19-2006, 11:49 PM hey, how do i add my car stats to sig???
Hi Laurie:
___It works similar to GH. Use the following to copy and paste into your sig and make sure you check off "show sig" in your user Control Panel. I left out the beginning and end brackets so make sure you enclose it.

___Do you want the linkable version also? I can post that tomorrow when I get home if Tom doesn't set you up first if you would like?
___And a nice preview: http://www.cleanmpg.com/garage/images/128.png
___Good Luck
