Perhaps not surprisingly, a new survey reveals that most mothers drive SUVs. And if they could drive any vehicle at all? They'd want a nicer SUV.

Happy mothersday. Here are some flowers and a gallon of gas.

My wife hates SUV's and gives no women a once of credit that drives or wants one. Shes not a hypermiler at all. But finds the huge hunks of junks offending and 99% of the time not used right. She got mad and kicked the tires of a CR-V and a Element when we where car shoping this time of year a tear ago.

The salesman was shocked. She told them she wanted a Accord. Turned around to a lady that was looking at the same CR-V we where and told her. "girl dont lie to me,,, your nails are to frenched to be bothered with hauling 4 grandchildren around at a time, lie to yourself,,, the salesman,, but not me" I fell out and busted up. She works for a church, but didnt like how this gal was fakeing it for her husband and jacking the salesman. Then they tried burning us on a Accord and pissed her off again. Glad I found our dealer we've purchased two Hondas from in less than a year. :) BUT no SUV's,,, she needs to haul something. She hops in the Ranger and does it.

I whine cause her driving habits drink gas. At the same time,, im glad she isnt a common lady of the America's. And has no room or wants for a crappy SUV.

It seems to be a guy thing. A few almost do it when they have a phone.

because they want to show off thier bling bling (aka the newest cell phone on the market) ... however what i just found out interestingly is that battery technology hasn't advanced at all and attempting to use any of the phone features will immediately drain the battery... hilarious.

Have you ever used a Razr/Razor/Razer phone? The reception is horrible, the phone is uncomfortable, and they do drink energy like SUVs. I'll take my Nokia candy bar phone any day of the week. Even the weekend. :)

Respondents were also asked to name the three most important aspects of a vehicle. Among mothers and expectant mothers, 67 percent put safety as a top concern. Fifty-four percent said fuel economy was among the most important factors, the preference for SUVs notwithstanding. That was followed by roominess, which was a top-three concern for half of mothers.

I recall my SUV having excellent skidding -- not stopping -- capability. And I was constantly afraid it would flip over if I ever had to do a sudden evasive maneuver. Uh, gas mileage? Whatever they're smoking, I don't want any. And if I ever use my cell phone in my car, it's in park.
