Finally have convinced my wife of the benefits of using the EBH on her HiHy that I installed almost 2 years ago and she's really reaping the benefits in the form of 3 31+mpg tanks in a row.
But this morning it was darn cold (24 I think) and I was looking at the front grill contemplating some grill blocking measures.

It looks like there are 3 separate and very different areas that can/should be blocked...1)Larger upper grill appears would need to be blocked with something from under the hood. 2) 2 think slots just below #1 could probably be packed with pipe insulation pretty easily. 3) the larger slanted area below the bumper which is the intake for the inverter part of the radiator.

I'm looking for suggestions or photos from other suggestions for blocking, temps you've seen when doing this, etc.

Looking for more info specific to blocking the HiHy and how that was accomplished and exact temp. effects at the inverter and ICE.

Looks like you might be a pioneer in the HiHy grill blocking.

I have a pretty good idea of how I want to do it...just don't drive the car enough to know what the effect will be on the temps and I don't really have a good way to monitor it. There is an engine temp guage on the HiHy..so that's good.
