....to see if anyone wants to pay $33,600 for my 2005 Insight! If you have any "high roller" friends who've always wanted a nice gas-saver, send them over to ebaymotors.com and check it out. Hopefully my description and photos will be effective.....

Are you serious? That's a well maintained vehicle but there's no way it's worth that kind of money. On cars.com the most expensive Insight is $19,900.

_H*The only way I can see you parting with it is you found something better...as far as I know there nothing beats it for highway FE.

That's correct Chuck and _H*. I guess it's a matter of timing? I will sell it someday, for sure. But maybe right now, if somebody really wants it more than I do, I might let it go. It still is under warranty. I won't be driving it much this winter. But yes, as soon as a vehicle appears that can beat this one in highway mpg, I will buy it. My dream is a 3 cyl diesel, aerodynamic, lightweight 2 seater. Or a Daihatsu UFE III.
Yeah, $33,000 sounds high. But it's WORTH whatever someone perceives the value to be, and will pony up. Last summer a guy at a large car show offered me $28,500 on the spot. Who knows?....

It is the most pristine example of a very rare and unusual car. I could see someone paying a hefty premium for it. Although the fact that it is modified might actually hurt it in that regard.
