Currently undergoing testing in Europe using an Altairnano 18kWh, 10minute fast charge capable Lithium nanosafe battery the Fiat Doblo EV from Micro-vett travelled 300km(186m) on three fast charges (10 minutes each) in one day using a 125kW capable fast charger from AeroViroments

The battery being tested in the Doblo sounds wicked. 25000 discharge cycles with 85% capacity. The 10 minute charge time is the fascinating part.

Thanks for the news.

Apparently it has been fast charged 50times for 2500miles.
Cost is still prohibitive, $2 per Wh (goal of $1 Wh). Other contracts for US Navy backup power (500kWh) to replace Diesel gen on Navy ships etc should hopefully bring manufacturing costs down. I did read that they are also planning to use the battery in the fast charger itself, so may not need 125kW capable grid connection.

OT but Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan is looking to set up 150 fast charge stations or 1 fast charge station every 3km (about every 2miles)

Good Luck
Andrew
