I'd love to put vegetation on my roof. Dallas in the summer typically has more than a few 100-degree days. The resale value is probably the biggest deterant, then it's a two-story home. The roof is steep (going to love painting on it....). Finally, I'd have to find something that would be low-maintainence.

The advantage is avoiding warming up the attic to 130-150 degrees and keeping the cooling bill a lot lower.

What I'm doing now instead is growning several pine trees, a couple that are 30 feet after seven years.

Won't the air flow blow the vegetation off the roof of your car at 55 mph?

If you check the forum this is in and the link of the first post, you might conclude it's home roofs.... ;)
