Hi! I want to introduce myself.

I just got my 2008 Toyota Prius on Sat, Sept 22.

I was originally looking for a 07 in blue, but the dealer wasn't able to get one. My second choice was white and they were able to get me a 2008. I got package 5 with all the bells and whistles. I really like the smart key! It's really a nice car to drive.

I love it. I have driven over 180 miles and I'm only down 1/8 tank. My current MPG is 59.5 My previous car was a 02 Ford Focus SW and at 180 miles, I might have been down almost a half a tank! I never had a foreign car before, but there are no US-made hybrids that meet my needs.

BTW, I am Pravus Prime's Mom! He gave me some driving lessons right away, so I have a little idea of what I'm doing. It's weird, having your kid show you how to drive.

59.5 is a fantastic first tank! Congrats, and I hope you continue to enjoy the car. Keep listening to that instructor son of yours. :)

___Holding onto a 59.x average right off the lot is telling all of us something and I am sure Rich is doing all he can to help you as well! Did you know your Prius-II is only capable of 48 mpg according to the EPA :confused: Welcome to the club of those that know better and you are doing great this early on!

That brings back memories of the day I got my Prius. I got off the phone with Wayne, got into the car, and went straight across the street to the gas station and promptly pressed the Integrity's to 60 psi.:D

I've tried countless times to get my mom in a prius, if only I could convince her that they arent ugly. Congrats on the new car and happy hypermiling to you!
