We need a logo (or logos) for the website. If anyone likes to play with photoshop or any other type of image creation software we could use your help.

We need a logo that looks good as a silhouette. And maybe a logo that just looks good for the top of webpages or merchandise to support the site.

Obviously we can't pay for it, so if you want to help out a good cause we would be much appreciative.

I just whipped this up. If I knew how to make chrome text, I would have done that too along with the gauge ring.

It looks good. The font is hard to read at a glance though. Maybe something similar with a different font

It's difficult finding a good retro/futuristic font. How bout this?

I like it :) I wonder what it would look like with a www. at the begining and a .com between the mpg and the gauge in a smaller font. ;) (just thinking out loud) :)

That font is okay. I like the other one better though.

I wish I could better integrate the fuel gauge somehow.

Maybe if I squared up the gauge to match the "P" of the font...

I think I like attempt #2 the best so far. Integrating the fuel gauge is OK in a large version but I think it will be too small if the logo is resized. When it's on its own next to the lettering it is more obvious. Maybe place it over the ".com"? Maybe a different style gauge would integrate better.

Try the previous logo without the outer ring and try it without the inner ring see how those look.

I like this one :) It's only four colors (white, black, orange, and 20% black) so it should be easy to print too.

My wife says the www is to wide. I can add transparancy if nessasary.

The bottom one looks great then. I wish it had the www. but it shouldn't be a big deal. You might want to blur the letters to get rid of the jaggies.

Then its just a matter of finding a place that can make decals out of it for cars ;) And placing it on the site.

Is there a particular file format you prefer?

I don't know. tiff maybe?

If you're going to make decals, can you make those clear static cling types that have no glue so I can put it in my window and remove it easily?

Sledge, take a look at your logo in action. Note that currently there is no markup on those items. I'm still looking into the cling type decals.

Kickass, tbaleno! :D :D I like the original black text more than the blue on the bumper sticker. Maybe I should have made the gray a little darker. Oh well. Hindsight is 20/20 :)

xcel, I'm an analytical engineer for an OEM supplier. We make transmission parts that go in Ford, GM, and recently Toyota vehicles. My job is... everything. FEA, mathematical analysis, programming, reports, presentations. You name it. I have to do it.

I was watching Texas Ranch House on PBS last night and it was getting a little boring (it's a historical "reality" show), so I found this thread, fired up Corel, and started doodling :)

I haven't given up. I just have to be sure how the image is going to look before I plop down $150 or so on them. I'll probably get a bumpersticker or something to see the image blown up and stuff.

hm the logos are nice, but the black sure doesn' tfit with the cleanmpg colors? i mean isn't it more blue and light blue? i dunno still looks good though!

___Phil, I have been drawing CleanMPG logo’s from all kinds of colors in the last 2 days and the Black sure is clean. The Blue’s I have used do not seem to look as tight for some reason???
