Here is a picture of my 1st road trip. Hot here so temp set at 75 degrees. This includes all the stops in the city, trip on the interstate, shopping mall, two-lane roads with traffic and stops. So this is an avg. FE for the complete run and taken in my garage once home. Not bad for a new car and driving 70 mph. I like it: http://greenhybrid.com/discuss/images/smilies/emotikons/wink.gif

Pretty good. I kind of wish you kept the civic, but I guess when you compare that to the 18 my friend gets (if he is lucky) with is mustang gt you did good.

Actually in a car to car comparison - The Best of both worlds Power and Economy with a side trip in Luxury . The HCH was very nice ,the HAH is better in my eyes. Will be watching for a true max FE effort ...and of course maybe a ''cone kill'' or two ? ;)

Tom & MNFocus, and Psy:

I really liked the HCH II and all the things I did to it. It got IMO Excellent FE and the ride was not really bad either. The X/M worked great and the Honda Nav as always was Flawless. So all in all the HCH II is one heck of a car and it delivers in every respect for the owner. So that was the HCH II.CHEERS :Banane35:

Now here is the HAH (Honda Accord Hybrid). It is very very Quiet inside. It's ride is Great. It's Handling is Super. I love the (Now that I have found it) Trip Computer with all the Full Readout on Instant FE Etc. that it shows you on the 7" Nav. Screen. The inside of the car is very Luxurious with the Leather and the Fit and Finish of the Materials inside the Cabin. I cannot say enough nice things about the Gages and how easy they are to read and see, (Perfect) I don't for the most part drive like a Lunatic but when you need the extra power of 255HP this Hybrid has it in Abundance. I did use it twice on the way to Bowling Green, Ky. to the Honda Dealer and back Home. One of the things that I have noticed is that there is very little difference in driving it at 65 MPH (Cruise-Control) versus 70 MPH (Cruise Control). Hardly any difference at all to speak of. I did the 65 MPH on the way to Ky. and then did the 70MPH on the way back Home to TN. I think the reason is the 6-Cylinder has a lot of Torque and HP so it is no-strain on it between the 65MPH to 70MPH speeds. The auto-stop works great. One of the things that I like is the additional room in the HAH. It is not a big car but it is just big enough inside to be more comfortable. When winter comes I am looking forward to the Heated Seats. That will be nice on a cold day. Also the Heated Mirrors are definitely going to be nice when the weather changes either with the rain or cold weather when they get fogged over. The 8-way power seat can get you right where you want as far as seating goes. The Moon Roof is nice to open the Sun-Shade on when the SUN is not bearing down on you in one of these 100 Degree Plus days. So all these things are very nice that I have pointed out and below I will add some comments on FE that I have personally Observed so far.

Speaking of FE and the HAH. I have driven it now to work and back and can make these comments regarding that. You have to pay very very close attention to how you drive the HAH if you want to get FE in the CITY. I got 30 Plus MPG but it was not driving in a normal fashion. I'm being serious here folks. It took a lot of (Effort) and (Discipline) on my part to get that kind of FE out of it. So will it do it Yes, but you will really have to baby it on every move you make. I do mean every move: Is this a Negative thing???? NO I do not really think so. It is just the way it is. On the interstate as the Trip Computer shows it Averaged 36.4 MPG and that was at 65-70MPH and in the city, plus shopping mall, Etc. This I think anyone can live with. Remember it uses 87-Octane Gas, not 93 Octane, and still has 255HP at the touch of the Go-Pedal. The car has I think like 200 and some miles on it so it is really new and I would imagine it will give better FE numbers after it gets some real miles on it. But as I have said here if one would buy this car for it's ability to give great FE in the city driving I think they would really be (Disappointed). It just is not going to Excel in that City Environment for FE. Not under any kind of normal driving that is. Which I think would cover 95% of the population if not more.

So there is so far what I think of the HAH and I can tell you if I had the decision to make again I would (Not-Hesitate) on Buying it all over again. It is a Great Hybrid with way many more {PLUSES} than (Negatives) IMHO.

Have not made the move yet on that but I am going to look into it over on DA (drive accord). They have many members there that have the Acura TL Rear Sway Bar installed.

Hi Terry:

___Now that is more like it! Congrats on crushing the EPA in your new ride ;)

___WRT city, do you have the FAS problem with the tranny failing to allow 4th and OD after a FAS? The 05’s had that problem so a FAS was only good to a stop, not for P&G’ing :(

___Good Luck

The rear sway does add to stability - if you are a hard charger that is .I did the SVT rear upgrade on my '00 sedan as well as the early gen 1 rear on my gen 3 SHO . I could feel the difference when I really hit the corners *hard* and in high wind driving . In most cases of 'normal everyday' type driving you'll probably never notice .It really does depend on *your* driving style. I will admit that having it and never truly needing it is way better than needing ...well you get the picture. Tires/wheels, brakes, suspension- in that order- just my 2 ¢
