hello everyone. i'm hailing from los angeles, ca. land of cars basically haha. believe it or not. alot of people here are driving hybrid cars more often. thats why i decided to get a prius. love that little car.

Hi, I'm a 5-speed Insight driver getting more exposure to the Prius and what it can do! The Insight is great on the highway, but that big hill up I5 in LA would be a killer!

The Prius can do some things easier than other vehicles from a hypermiling standpoint. You would not believe who gave a demo on DWB -driving without brakes (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showpost.php?p=32696&postcount=21) . :D

Welcome! Indeed you will find lots of people agree with your sentiments about the Prius and other hybrids. You will also find plenty of people breathing down our necks FE-wise in conventional cars so watch out. ;) Have fun looking around, there's a lot here.
