AZBrandon 04-21-2006, 02:17 AM I think any commercial that raises awareness about the importance of vehicle safety is a good thing. I would 100x rather see more commercials like this than the "intimidator" commercials GM uses to sell their SUV's.
philmcneal 04-21-2006, 06:45 AM yeah i thought it was a realistic way of showing how crashes really are. Done in a split of a second so don't you dare get yourself into one now and ANTICIPATE!.
Chuck 04-21-2006, 08:21 AM ....you mean I have to drive defensively instead of cruising and blissfully munch on my beef jerky? {sniff} :p
Hi Chuck:
___I saw one of their commercials late last night and all I can say is that it was shocking to say the least! One of the best I have ever seen in fact! It does not make me want to go out and purchase a VW any time soon but does make me extremely glad the Accord comes equipped with front’s, side’s, and side curtains as std. equipment …
___Good Luck

Texashchman 05-18-2006, 10:56 AM Wayne I don't have a link but I think it was the CEO said since those commercials aired they had ahugh increase in people asking for information on the Jetta. kevin
johnf514 05-18-2006, 11:14 AM Are they actual crashes? Maybe low-speed accidents filmed from high speed angles? I'd love to see the VW Corol . . . I mean Jetta get broadsided by a big rig. Just for sh!ts and giggles. :D
Doesn't the new Jetta bear a striking resemblence to the Corolla?
philmcneal 05-19-2006, 06:26 AM yes the 4 lights in the back now that you mention it john haha... oh cars trying to look to hard to be like every other car on the road ;)

Hi Brandon:
___What are those? I vote clones!
___I remember when the new Jetta was first released and some said it was a Corolla wannabe ... IIRC, the New Jetta commercial rates it as just a 4 * crash rating too :(

Vooch 10-23-2007, 07:30 PM VW's are exceedingly safe cars, they are designed for 130 MPH driving on the A-Bahn. Insurance stats prove that VW's have some of the lowest injury rates of ANY car sold in the USA.
BTW - those crashes are fer real Dood !
