I mentioned this in the daily grind but I'll put it here so maybe it'll get noticed easier. I think I'm hearing what sounds like a metalic sort of noise coming from the right-front corner when turning left. Cruising straight, turning right, or braking(friction or regen) doesn't seem to make it happen. Is this unusual or am I just noticing it because I have my windows open and can hear more of what's going on?

Check to see if the "pie tin" (disc brake backing plate) is making contact with strut or other suspension part. Also check the endlink on that side (it does have a sway bar ,doesn't it ?)
Hi Larry:
___Since it is a mechanical “like” noise, it is probably mechanically related and the brakes are suspect. The EPS may have a problem near its limits as well? Sounds like a trip to your local Toyota dealership is in order given it is under warranty.
___Maybe they will lend you a Yaris or Corolla with a stick to play with while they take a good look at it.

Should I lower the tire pressure before I make that visit just to be safe?
Hi Larry:
___Because you are so light on her, I highly doubt any pressure would have lead to a suspension/steering based problem leading to the sound but since it could be, take them down to 44 and see what they find?

Try the "neutral trick" to clean the brake rotors off, and see
if that improves anything. They might just be rusted up a
little, and that does tend to make metallic swishing noises
even with no brake pressure being sent, because the pads just
float there next to the rotors.
.
Failing that, perhaps jack it up and check for bearing play,
anything contacting something it shouldn't, etc..

Thanks Hobbit! I'll give that a try on the way to take my wife to work.

I think I may have solved the mystery.:knocks on head, err, wood::p I think it may have just been a stone stuck in the front brake on the right side. I made a left turn today to cut into the parking lot of a school near work so I could stop to get to S4 and, the noise got really bad then disappeared quickly and hasn't came back since. I started thinking about it and I think I first noticed it when turning into the lot where my wife works; they have a crushed limestone lot. I tried the "neutral trick" this morning but I don't think I hit the brakes long enough to completely dislodge it. When you're a hypermiler it's hard to get up that much speed.:D
