Which one? There are 3 in existence to my knowledge. I'm betting it's Willie's, because he loves a good road trip.

___Yes sir, Willy will be there and I cannot wait to see him again! Talk about an enjoyable and down to earth individual who is also one heck of a tech too!

Neodymics

From their site:
The Neodymics™ bicycle-to-moped upgrade or BMU™ includes an integrated propulsion system, and is designed for replacement of the front wheel on any standard bicycle. It contains batteries, motor, transmission, drive electronics, and control mechanism. Integrated design means simple installation. The “power on demand” control mechanism is fitted to the bicycle steering column on an arm extending down to the drive electronics. Attachment or removal of the self-contained and self-propelled wheel is then instantly accomplished without tools using a standard quick release assembly.
Fenrir 07-13-2007, 08:21 AM Will the resurrected EV-1 be returning? I really really want to see one in person.
I was at Epcot Center in 96 or 97 and they had an Impact (EV-1 predecessor) on display. Silly me, I thought by the time I got out of school and got a good job I'd be able to buy one.

Search for the HybridFest 2006 thread and you will find a video clip of a red EV-1.
Fenrir 07-13-2007, 09:14 AM seen it, and I saw Who Killed the Electric Car? on the big screen. There's just no substitute for seeing it in person, touching it, and ... [drools on self] ... sitting behind the wheel.
ericbecky 07-13-2007, 09:15 AM The EV-1 will not be there this year. :( (although it will probably be less than 5 miles away in a lab.)
Instead the UW is bringing its diesel hybrid-electric SUV, a Chevy Equinox called Moovada.
Chuck 07-13-2007, 09:19 AM Someone will hunt down the video here, but it is very rare in it's intact and runs. U of W students made a project out of getting it to run, as GM disabled the few they did not crush. The university got funding from several sponsors, which were splashed on the EV-1, NASCAR-style. The irony in my video clip is the giant blue Ford oval on that EV-1. :D
Fenrir 07-13-2007, 11:20 AM Diesel electric hybrid , SUV
No EV-1 :ccry:

Nice! I didn't see any pricing on the site. How much for a BMU?
