I found this site from a link from our local paper. Here is the article. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070605/FEATURES01/706050330

After a few failed attempts I finally became a member. I have owned a hybrid since October of 2006. Presently, I have over 13,000 miles and my lifetime average is 52.96 MPG and since I was so satisfied with my Prius I bought another last month. My highest mileage is 68.80 and lately I have had several tanks average over 60 MPG. I hope to improve but reading some posts it looks like I lucked on to some techniques by myself. I am glad to be here.

60 mpg? That's pretty darn good in my book. But it's great to know that you still want more, too! Read the hypermiling articles here on CleanMPG, and be sure to share any techniques you have as well.

And welcome to CleanMPG!

Welcome to CleanMPG!

Your numbers look very good to me - it shows some effort.

Not only is there a lot of resources here, if you can arrange it, there will be hundreds of hybrids at www.hybridfest.com (http://www.hybridfest.com) in about six weeks. It was so busy last year it was expanded to two days. Many members here will be there.

Hey... small world...

Thought I recognized that handle. Good posts on the comments section, sorry we both posted the same thing, guess they were in flight. I couldn't resist... actually quoting the Consumer Reports article that got retracted... too easy.

I'm with Jimbo, always good to have some more Prii, were still trying to find the fabled Perfect Commute on the Daily Grind forum.

Yes, Dan I noticed your post when I viewed my post. That way the "Book off the shelf" guy got a 1-2 punch. Thank you for your intelligent posts in the Tennessean.
