Does anyone know if a Scangauge can be installed on a motorcycle?

I have a friend very interested in my efforts that rides a Ninja, and I offered to let him borrow my scanguage if he could figure out where to install it.

Any thoughts?

I don't think motorcycles have obd ports.

Scanguage is a trademark name, no? If you just mean you awnt RPM, etc info then yes - at least on a Harley...

they take a few to put on, though, because you generally have to pull the seat and gastank off to run lines to your bike's brain which sits midway under your seat.

There is nothing like a SG for bikes. There are tuning devices. Meaning you can play with fuel mixtures, timing and other niffty things to make the scream or grunt,,, what ever the case maybe. But no real time commercial ave. device that I know of. Riding is still a real seat of the pants thing.

I'd think there was (or will be) something like an OBD II socket. Just plug in a a diagnostic device and find out hundreds of things about the bike just like they do cars....

There is - again, at least for a Harley. I have a CD ROM that came with the bike. I pop that into a laptop, plug a cable that came with the bike into the EFI port and all kinds of graphs and adjustable parameters come up in the software that control timing, air/fuel mixtures, etc...

New BMW motorcyles have it.
