Hello to all of you out there. My name is Adam and I live outside of Pittsburgh PA. I drive an 05 Scion Xb 5 speed. I look forward to getting the most out of my car and having a place to kill some time.

Welcome to cleanmpg. We have a few other scion drivers that are doing great things with their cars. Hunt them down and say hi!

Welcome!
I also have a scion xB. Seems like we've almost doubled our numbers here now. I think there are at least 4 or 5 of us with the little box. From the two tanks you've posted looks like you are doing very well! My best tank so far is 46mpg (just to give you something to shoot for!) But I'm averaging about 40mpg right now. Keep up your good work, there's allot of learn here and I bet we'll start to see your mileage go up even more!

I just put on my lighter rims, Iridium plugs and a K&N air filter. I am trying my best to hit 50mpg. I have a bet with my neighbor on that goal, it's not going to be easy with all the hills I have do drive.

Hi Himmitch:

___Welcome to CleanMPG!

___I think we talked about Pittsburgh’s infamous hills. The 2005 Prius Marathon was held along the Ohio River there and the 127 mpg round trip could not have been achieved without those hills to extend glides imho. I rode with Dan in his Del Sol and saw > 70 with both of us in it on his normal Pittsburgh commute using the steep ascents and descents like a roller coaster ride. Truly a lot of fun ;)

___The K&N was possibly a mistake but the lighter rims should help as long as you did not increase tire weight or change to a lower RRc based one?

___Good Luck

___Wayne
