Sounds like big oil (NPRA) failed to plan :p

Or they planned to fail. $68 mil is probably cheaper than the development investment.

cellulosic ethanol is very difficult to do, the waste wood has very little energy density and the resulting mash produces very low concentration of ethanol. Using dead pines from beetle infestations seems to be more practical.
