Driving home this evening, I saw a big man driving a Geo Metro with his wife in the passenger seat, middle school aged daughter in the back seat.

They did not die.

I don't think their Geo sucks - it's cool.

I don't expect the general population to go quite that far, but for those of you that remember the 70s compare those cars with today.

I've been noticing more of them on the road.
Not sure if it's because I'm more aware of them now, or people have pulled them out of their driveways and put them to use again. I suspect that both are the case.

After I bought my scion xB and my friends nephew moved out of state there was a Geo Metro just sitting at his house. A friend of ours was complaining about his fuel cost since he had a f-150 and was getting 15mpg. So we turned him onto the metro. Sold it to him for $1,000. That was before I knew anything about metros. Turns out it was the very efficeint version. I think the xfi or something. Now in the summer he is a convert getting above 40mpg. Now I wish I had bought it, I'd get some great mpg out of that sucker!
