Hi All -

I ran across a post by Gary G. on the Yahoo FEH forum and followed along. Thought if it is good enough for that old man it would be good enough for this one - we are both as old as dirt :).
Owner of an '05 AWD Escape Hybrid averaging 30.5MPG at this time. Don't have the flat land Gary or Xcel have, but try all the suggestions for getting the best out of what I consider one of the best Hybrids out there.
Got a laugh out of the post by Delta Flyer to Gary
Welcome to CleanMPG!

If your experience is like mine, there is a big learning curve the first few weeks or months to learn most of the techniques to get higher fuel economy.
Hope I will be able to give back and not just take submissions/knowledge others have given. I will be posting for the FEH fans on how to modify their NAV system to be able to get to the 'POI' (Points of Interest) and all the other options that are greyed out while moving.

Glad to be part of a Great Group of Guys and Ladies.

Welcome Phillip

Good to see a friend come to CleanMPG. Is 51 that old? We have came a long way from hot rods to driving like an old lady I guess.

You've got to bring that mileage up! These flat roads and warm weather here in So. FL help, but EV driving is still possible in the hills as well. If there is anything I can do or explain to help, let me know.

Still haven't made that Nav system mod, and it’s a pain stopping to enter a new address. Did you get a scangauge yet? I'm keeping my screen on tank average miles per gallon and holding it in the 50's pretty easy now. It would be nice to see your AWD hit the 40's as it warms up. EV mode is how to do it if you can.
