Anyone have 4 WD Escape, happy with it ?

I had an 01 for about three years. The mileage was kinda crappy, and the 01-04 had issues with transmission imploding, but later years were pretty solid. My model had control trac II, the newer ones are different from what I recall, but the 4x4 was a blast to own. It went pretty deep into coal country offroads PA with no issues, and handled snow with no issues.

I thought the first year for the Escape Hybrid was 2005.

I just purchased a used 08 Escape 4x4 hybrid last week. Seems to be a great little vehicle so far. Comfortable to drive, and I'm tall. I'm used to driving full size cars & trucks. Getting 33 MPG so far.
