My 2005 Feh 4wd now has 213.6k miles with the same batteries. Unfortunately the instrument cluster failed all of a sudden in a parking lot just after start up a few weeks back. I checked all the fuses and they were good. Instead of going through Ford which probably would have claimed the thing was shot and charged me god knows what for a new one, I took it to my independent mechanic. He pulled out the cluster, hooked it up to a computer and "rebooted" it. He then put it back in and it worked fine. All for only the price of a scangage. I am very relieved. I still believe toyota makes a much more reliable vehicle but time will tell in several more years with the newest FEH and fusion hybrids. Anyone else ever have a similar problem??

I've never heard of or seen such an issue before. That's odd!! The entire dash was blank/refusing to move the needles?

Yes indeed. Neither odometer nor the fuel guage worked either. Not even the tach. NOTHING. However, everything else in the car worked including navigation, radio, power windows cruise etc.

That's really odd. I did have a similar thing happen to my all digital dash on my 1991 Mercury Sable back in about 1999 or 2000. But I think that was my VSS because the speedo stayed at 0 (when it illuminated) and did not rack up miles on the odometer or register used fuel.
